Doctor Roger Hodkinson is a pathologist, virologist and the Chairman of a biotechnology company in North Carolina that sells a Covid-19 test. He’s very knowledgable about the virus. He received his degree from Cambridge University in the UK. Doctor Hodkinson is a Canadian citizen and practices medicine in Alberta, Canada.
In a public statement, Dr Hodkinson the dangers of the political conversation and opportunism surrounding the virus. The hysteria and fear-mongering being generated from the virus are quite obvious at this point.
Upheavals and protests are happening worldwide as governments try to impose a second, longer round of lockdowns.
Dr Roger Hodkinson: This Hysteria Is a Hoax
Doctor Hodkinson notably made the following statement, which is now being attacked:
“The bottom line is simply this: there is utterly unfounded public hysteria driven by the media and politicians. It’s outrageous. This is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public. There is absolutely nothing that can be done to contain this virus, other than protecting older more vulnerable people. It should be thought of nothing more than a bad flu season.”
“It’s politics playing medicine and that’s a very dangerous game.”
“Masks are utterly useless. There is no evidence based for their effectiveness whatsoever. Paper masks and fabric masks are simply virtue signaling.”
“Social distancing is also useless because Covid is spread by aerosols which travel 30 meters or so before landing. Enclosures have had such terrible unintended consequences. Everywhere should be open tomorrow.“
“Using the provinces own statistics, the risk of death under 65 in this province is 1 in 300,000. You’ve got to get a grip on this. The scale of the response that you’re undertaking with no evidence for it is utterly ridiculous.”

Listening to Dr Hodkinson speak it’s clear that he is well spoken, well informed, respectful to listeners, methodical in his statements and concerned for public health. He is an absolute champion on the issue.
But you’d never know this from watching the mainstream news. Again, like often recently, the mainstream news continues misrepresenting Doctors’ statements and attacking an esteemed doctor for simply warning the public. I’ve written a lot about Doctors being discredited by the mainstream media in the wake of the Covid pandemic.
Fact Checkers Attack Dr Roger Hodkinson
Fact Checkers and mainstream news have missed the mark in this story, yet again. Many of them are claiming that Dr Hodkinson called the virus itself a hoax. That is utterly false (and it shows their complete bias on the issue). He never called the virus a hoax. He called the “unfounded public hysteria driven by the media and politicians“….a hoax. That is very different.
Snopes published a very confusing statement, claiming:
“Dr. Hodkinson is not the Chairman of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and his public comments do not align with the consensus of the medical community.”

That’s great Snopes, but Dr Hodkinson didn’t claim to currently be the Chairman of that organization. Listen to the audio and you’ll see that he never made that claim.
He did say: “I was the chairman of the Royal College of Physicians Of Canada Examination Committee of Pathology In Ottawa”. It’s difficult to know exactly which committee he was referring to, because his time at the Royal College was nearly 40 years ago. In any event, he never said that he is the chairman.
Perhaps others falsely mis-stated his words in their attempt to muddy the conversation, but Snopes abused the situation to attempt to discredit Dr Hodkinson. This is a game to twist and distort facts.
Secondly, Dr Hodkinson’s comments do align with consensus to a large degree, depending on which consensus you consider. I’ve written about dozens of doctors that disagree with the official narrative. I’ve also written a lot about how both China and the World Health Organization lied to the world.

Dr Hodkinson never claimed that Covid-19 is a hoax. He said the hysteria being created by the media and politicians is a hoax. And he also claimed that Covid-19 is equivalent to a “bad flu”.
AP Press is typically more reputable than other fact-checking organizations. However, they misrepresented Dr Hodkinson’s statements. They also shamefully resorted to public statements from other officials, albeit the same officials that are generating hysteria about the virus, rather than verifying the truthfulness of the information with data. Again, the information these “fact checkers” share is not false, it’s just incomplete. This incompleteness is intentional. I’ve already written a lot about the tactics of the mainstream media.
The virus is a threat. Nobody is arguing against that. But the public hysteria and fear-mongering being perpetrated by politicians and the mainstream news is rather remarkable.
Dr Michael Yeadon Was Also Attacked
Another notable doctor was attacked recently for his statements on the issue. Dr Michael Yeadon had published an article on lockdownsceptics.org, called What SAGE Has Got Wrong. Dr Yeadon focussed his article about the inaccuracies of Sage Medical Research Journal, a well known and respected journal.
Dr Michael Yeadon was attacked after publishing numerous statements about a SAGE study, including the following:
“There were no clinical immunologists. No one who had a biology degree and a post-doctoral qualification in immunology. A few medics, sure. Several people from the humanities including sociologists, economists, psychologists and political theorists. No clinical immunologists. What there were in profusion – seven in total – were mathematicians. This comprised the modelling group. It is their output that has been responsible for torturing the population for the last seven months or so.“
You can imagine that criticism like this will certainly ruffle feathers. Furthermore, some fact checkers claimed incorrect statements. PolitiFact for example, argued that Dr Yeadon claimed:
The coronavirus pandemic is “effectively over” in the United Kingdom and “there is absolutely no need for vaccines.”

Again, they’re misrepresenting this doctor’s statements. He actually said the following:
“The more likely situation is that the susceptible population is now sufficiently depleted (now 28%) and the immune population sufficiently large that there will not be another large, national scale outbreak of COVID-19. Limited, regional outbreaks will be self-limiting and the pandemic is effectively over. This matches current evidence, with COVID-19 deaths remaining a fraction of what they were in spring, despite numerous questionable practices, all designed to artificially increase the number of apparent COVID-19 deaths.”
Dr Mike Yeadon, What SAGE Got Wrong
This is entirely different than what Dr Yeadon had actually said. “Limited” means “If the Pandemic is limited, then regional outbreaks will be self-limiting and the pandemic will be effectively over”. How the media intentionally misrepresents doctors is rather unfathomable and shameful.
Dr. Michael Yeadon is an Allergy & Respiratory Therapeutic Area expert with 23 years in the pharmaceutical industry. He trained as a biochemist and pharmacologist, obtaining his PhD from the University of Surrey (UK) in 1988. He’s Pfizer’s former Vice President and Chief Scientist for Allergy and Respiratory. He’s also known for criticizing the work of other experts as well.
Both Dr. Michael Yeadon and Dr Hodkinson are supposedly filing lawsuits to defend their statements:

I’ve searched for information about the lawsuits but I haven’t been able to find any information. Either they’re highly private or they’re being ignored intentionally, or perhaps I just haven’t been lucky enough to come across the information.
The Hoax Game
The mainstream media loves to twist language. And they do it in lockstep with politicians interests. Anytime a professional, such as a doctor, uses the term “hoax” in relation to the injustice and abuse being performed by politicians and the mainstream media, they respond by misrepresenting the statements that were made.
Calling the hysteria a hoax is not the same as calling the virus a hoax.
Yet, this is the game the mainstream news plays. They’ve played this games numerous times recently. They’re shutting down businesses, raising the suicide rate, causing mental instability through-out the world, and ruining people’s lives. And this is all happening for a virus that has a relatively high survival rate compared to many other viruses.
In truth, the hysteria is a hoax. The mainstream media and the politician opportunists have destroyed their own reputations. They claim that we must trust their “science”, but they ignore and discredit the scientists that speak against their narrative. This is not science…this is political science.
Dr Hodkinson and Dr Yeadon Aren’t The First
Dozens of doctors worldwide have come forward about the legitimacy of the virus. I first covered the story when Dr. Daniel W. Erickson and Dr. Artin Massih of California came forward about the virus. These two doctors were treated the same as Doctor Roger Hodkinson. The media instantly started misrepresenting the news and trying to discredit them.
As I saw more censorship and abuses from the media, I started writing about the issue. Now, dozens, perhaps even hundreds or thousands of doctors worldwide, have been speaking out about the virus. I created a list of controversial Covid doctors. I also covered the doctors on Capitol Hill that came forward about the virus. The mainstream media did everything they could to discredit them.
Unfortunately, doctors and medical staff worldwide are under attack if they speak out and share their story. Not only do they suffer the burden of being exposed to the virus daily, but they’re being attacked and discredited when they speak out.
The mainstream news and political opportunists should be ashamed of themselves.

I love how you try to make snopes look bad by pointing out one line if their article while intentionally not mentioning they they state in that article that some web sites have said Hodkinson was Chairman of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, but he did not make that claim himself. Biased article is biased. On what the doc said himself, sure covid can spread by aerosol droplets if someone sneezes or coughs, quite far. Unless, say… something was in the way of that spray of snot and spit like… oh say…. a mask?

So…of course I cherry-picked in my evaluation. That was precisely the point of this article – to point out their misrepresentations of the truth. Their small misrepresentations (the cherries) lead to big misunderstandings of what Dr. Hodkinson said.
Let’s look at Snopes a little closer, since you mentioned it. Look at their steps:
So, where in their “Rating” did they answer the headline question? They sidestepped the initial question “Did Dr. Roger Hodkinson Call COVID-19 a Hoax?”. A simple “No, false” would have sufficed. But they brought his “Chairman” credentials into the picture to muddy the story. This is a respected doctor – in truth, very few people were focussed on his comment about one of his many credentials. But again, this was their campaign to discredit him, because his words don’t suit their narrative. I didn’t make Snopes look bad – they made themselves look bad – it’s all there for the public to see.
These news orgs and fact-checkers have a large reach with vast influence over the public. I do not. So I assure you, it’s more productive to focus your energy on correcting their misrepresentations, rather than my tragic flaw of demanding integrity in reporting (via cherry picking). 😉
I’m not going to discuss masks in detail. I’m not a doctor. There are mixed studies about the effectiveness of masks. If you believe that masks work effectively against Covid, then consider using one. I generally support freedom to choose, especially in light of the inconsistent study conclusions about masks.

Well said Chris, LOL Cherry picking comment by meaghan too funny, because that was totally what snopes did. As for the mask comment. If you are sick, don’t wear a mask stay home, that is the whole problem to begin with.
From the first time I read snopes report on Dr Hodkinson Dan evon twisted it all up. Removing the “committee” part of the chairing of the college of physicians was a phenomenal mislead.
Well said Chris, the popular narrative is alive and well, getting a lot of support and protection from the media and governments, they’ll stop at nothing to achieve their end game. We the people don’t matter, yes very sad times we live in. It’s been over a year now since this whole virus thing started, I think we all have had just about enough of the whole mess! Agreed?
One thing that really gets me is how “inhuman and no compassion” when a family member is ill with the flu either directly or indirectly and hasn’t long to live, They die alone with out their immediate loved ones by their sides,..utter disgusting! Don’t tell me the hospital staff can’t don a family member with the same PPE so they can see their family one last time!

You’re misinformed. The CDC published an article in May of 2020, before they became politicized, showing the methodology on 14 trials around the world on hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and facial masks for stopping the spread of influenza. ALL 14 trials showed NO significant signs that these three measure’s stop the spread of laboratory confirmed influenza. Research CDC non-pharmaceutical measures against influenza.
What’s changed since then? Politics!
I suppose that you don’t have the slightest idea about the small size of a virus, nor are you aware of the difference between viruses and bacterium. Viruses have a diameter between 20 and 300 nanometers. Bacteria is visible with a simple microscope. Viruses can only be observed with an electron microscope. Therefore it is impossible for a simple mask to prevent the passage of viruses. If you want to avoid contagion, you’d better use a full body suit, such as one from the film “Contagion”. Basic surgical masks are for minimal protection, such as to prevent bacterial infections in the OR. I highly recommend you go to the library and read some books on the issue. Leave the internet and to turn your brain on.

We are allowing America to be destroyed because too many are afraid to take a stand. We are taking the same road the Roman’s took! We have professional politicians who have enriched themselves by invoking the interests of China. We have a media who have done the same. It seems every piss ant interest is more important than this republic. I do agree that masks is nothing but a self comforting tactic as is the nonsense of 6 feet apart of social distancing. The virus isnt that easily spread. I’ve gone to casinos, traveled many times and still haven’t caught it. I also have a weakened immune system. I can catch a cold easy enough but not the virus. Experts pushed the narrative that little children in a daycare center were being sexually abused by a satanic day care center connected to a mass organization of pedophiles.(This was before the internet & wide use of cell phones.) Children claimed at one point newborns were slaughtered. The “experts” ruined the lives of these people who ran a day care. Later it was discovered that the “experts” were manipulating these little kids. What about the Missouri 3? The 3 boy teens who were early “goth”, before the term was coined, that dressed all in black, dying their hair black, who liked big knives and listening to heavy metal music. They were accused of killing three 8 year old boys. “Experts” claimed these teens worshipped the devil and claimed to have cut off the boys penis and leave scrape marks with knives on the boys bodies. The teens were convicted. Later, it was shown that junk science and hysteria drove the narrative in the teens trial. The “experts” could not tell the difference between true torture with knife marks and animal activity on the bodies of the dead boys, tied up with their own shoe strings and left dead in a creak. Still undeterred the DA dug in despite the proof right infront of them. It seems the real killer, a stepfather with anger & control issues with no alibi. I could go on and on about “experts” being wrong more than they are ever right!!
